What to check before ordering Controller references encode I/O count and type (relay vs transistor output) — read the whole reference. TM3 expansion modules connect to M221/M241 controllers; they are not interchangeable with X80 rack modules. X80 racks need a matching power supply module and CPU; a module alone will not restore a rack. Check the programming software version (EcoStruxure Machine Expert or Control Expert) that the project was written in. Frequently asked questions What is the difference between TM3 and Modicon X80?
