ABB OT Switch Disconnectors

Switch disconnectors provide safe, visible isolation for maintenance. The ABB OT range covers panel- and door-mounted isolators across a wide current span, with the handles, extension shafts, auxiliary contacts and terminal shrouds needed to complete an installation, plus OTM motorised transfer switches for changeover between mains and generator supplies.

Frequently asked questions

Why did my OT switch arrive without a handle?

Because the handle and the operating shaft are separate references on most OT models — the same switch body serves door-mounted and direct-mounted arrangements.

What is the difference between AC-21 and AC-23 duty?

It is the switching duty the device is rated for. AC-21 is resistive-load switching, AC-22 is mixed resistive/inductive, and AC-23 covers motor loads. Isolating a motor circuit under load needs an AC-23 rated switch.
